King Khan, Bollywood Baadshah,
SRK.. Call him anything you want! But the man in question will continue to
remain a heartthrob for years to come. The man we are talking about is none
other than Shah Rukh Khan!
So as we celebrate the actor's
48th birthday on November 2, 2013, here's taking you through his journey
through some rare and unseen pictures.
Shahrukh's father migrated to New
Delhi from Peshawar prior to the 1947 partition of India. The actor once described
himself as 'half hyderabadi, half Pathan and some kashmiri'.
SRK lost his father to cancer
when Khan was just 15 and his mother passed away after prolonged illness in
1990
Whilst living in the Rajendra
Nagar neighbourhood in Delhi, Khan went to the St. Columba's School where he
won the Sword of Honour, an annual award for a student who best represents the
spirit of the school.
SRK went on to attend the Hansraj
College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
At a young age, SRk met his lady
love Gauri Chibber. During his courting years with Gauri, Shah Rukh was famed
to be a possessive boyfriend. He would fight with Gauri if she donned a
swimsuit to the pool. He would also object to letting her hair open as she
looked her best with hair let down and he did not want other boys gazing at
her.
The TV show Fauji where he played
the role of Commando Abhimanyu Rai earned him immense acclaim and recognition.
Gauri married Shahrukh when she
was just 21 and SRK was working hard to find firm ground in Bollywood.
